Beer Update!

Dear Beer Blog Readers,

I know that at least one of you is thinking to yourself, enough of this adorable tike where is the BEER!!

Well I know I have been absent in my updates, but do not fear I have not been absent in my beer consumption. Of the twenty-three 22oz bottles of beers made…6 remain.  Now don’t think that I am such a lush myself that I was the only consumer of the batch known as Eli (some relation), I had some help.
Cheers to "Eli"
The intention with the first successful batch, to be now known as “Eli2”(there was an earlier failed batch I am not fond of discussing) was to brew an IPA.  The result was in fact something more akin to a “sweet nutbrown” but it was tasty!  Though you do not have take my word for it, the process of enjoying the “Eli2” batch was assisted, by an old friend, a few close friends, some adopted brothers, a neighbor, two fathers, two mothers, a wife, and through some magical means a son, so feel free to ask them at they thought.
First taste of "Eli"...yummy!!
You may question as to why we enjoyed so much of the “Eli2”, well my primary concern at that point was obtaining enough bottles to contain the next batch of beer!  Note that this third batch was solely motivated by the desire to allow my assistant to partake in the brewing process and not for any other reason, such as we like Beer!  As to the experience granted the brewing assistant I cannot express, though I do think he returned home motivated to begin the brewing process himself, Success!!
Some of the ingredients for batch 3

In order to fully replace the number of bottles needed we would have needed to fully consume the “Eli2” which would have left none for further enjoyment at later dates.   So in the interest of procurement of enough bottles to store a third batch I enlisted the aid of a few professional beer drinkers, who have been able to add more than half of the needed bottles to store the third batch known by the nomen “Gpa3” “The Stout.”
Yay for fermentation!
Thank you for your time and attention,
Your friendly neighborhood beer enthusiast

Coming up next: “Gpa3
Bottling "Gpa" with the grandpas!

P.S. You may note that the batches of beer have taken on numerical indicators, this was done at the behest of Elias’s grandparents as it was a positive association with their past beer consumption.
