3 Weeks

Elias turned 3 weeks old on Wednesday, January 30!

Stats:

Weight: No update this week. We didn't have a doctor appointment.

Likes: Stretching on the floor with his friends Hawthorne, Oink Oink, and Douglas, Tooting

Dislikes: Diaper changes, Having the snot sucked out of his nose

This week Elias was finally big enough to fit into his cloth diapers.  He has the cutest fluffy butt!  Choosing a cloth diaper was a HUGE ordeal as there are now a bazillion choices for cloth diapering.  We ultimately chose to go with the old fashioned prefolds and cute colorful Thirsties covers.  So far, he seems happy in them and we are happy that the transition hasn't been to difficult for us.  Elias is still a bit on the small side for the size we have but they seem to work great and he will have room to grow before we have to get a new size.  Also this week, Elias got his first cold :(  I must admit this has probably been worse for Peder and myself.  We spent one sleepless night taking turns resting with him on our chests so he could sleep more upright. He has a runny/stuffy nose and a junky cough.  This has resulted in him sleeping lots and unfortunate task of using the nasal aspirator bulb...Elias HATES it!  Thank goodness he never had a fever and now seems to be on the mend.  Unfortunately, I have a cold now too.  Wish us good health!
